Jonathan G. Brennan, 25, of Decatur, IL answered the Devine Time Keeper on Sunday (July 18, 2010) at 12:30 p.m. with his family and friends by his side.
Jonathan was born on January 31, 1985, the son of Pam Armstrong-Robinson and John Blanchard. Jon was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend. He was very blessed to have a loving family and a tremendous amount of friends.
As they prepare his wings, Jon leaves happy memories to his parents; his grandmother: Verna Cooper; two daughters: Alayna and Jaylynn along with two special daughters: Erin and Jazzy; brothers: Mark Johnson (formerly Aaron Robinson), Duane Brennan, Chris Forker and Cade Forker; special brother: Wilson Jackson; sisters: Janett Blanchard, Rebecca Brennan and Amber Gilman; his significant other: Michelle Jay and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and too many friends to name.
Jon was welcomed to glory by his maternal grandfather, paternal grandparents, one aunt, two uncles and a host of cousins.
A Going Home celebration of Jon’s life will be held Saturday (July 24, 2010) at 1:00 p.m. at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Cremation rites will be accorded after the service. In lieu of flowers we are in need of donations to help cover Jon’s Going Home service. Donations can be sent to Pamela Armstrong, P.O. Box 25331 Decatur, IL 62525. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family via e-mail at www.dawson-wikoff.com.
We would like to give special thanks to St. Mary’s Hospital E.R. and ICU, Missionary Young, Church of the Living God P.G.T. #2, and Mr. and Mrs. Willie Washington for all of their love, support and efforts shown during the loss of our loved one.

I am so sorry for your loss. I did not know Jon, but it sounds like he was a really great guy. Please don't blame God for what happened as this was just clearly an accident and God does not take people from their family like that. He is a better place and he has Jesus to look to for a resurrection real soon. The Bible holds out a wonderful hope for Jon and others that have been lost in death and that is all thanks to God loving the world so much that He sent His only begotten son. Read your Bible and you will see the wonderful future that lies ahead for Jon and all of us that listen to the Word. Be there for each other and cherish the lives that we all have and use them promote safety and love.
